Nox _ : This performance was amazing. Absolutely breathtaking the Allegro at 8:46. You are the cellist who got me into cello in the first place, so thank you so much for your inspiration and virtuosity!
Derek Chan : The cellist has some amazing articulation. Never seen so much precision and technique visually , and it shows in the sound. Also enjoyed watching the pianist enjoying the 2nd movement. Amazing.

Shostakovich - Piano Sonata No. 1 Op. 12 (Lilya Zilberstein)

A wild young Shostakovich (1926).
Flexyhandz : You can tell he had direct insipiration from Prokofiev's third piano sonata from the opening bars.
peterbringenhoes : Was one of my favourites when I was fifteen years old.
As the fourth symphony.
Still think the adagio is a masterpiece, strongly reminiscent of the
opening of the fourth piano sonata by Scriabin.
Very beautiful music, liked it that you added the partiture.
Thanks!
Kenneth W : Love this performance! So fierce yet controlled! I'm learning this piece currently :)
Carlos : Algunos pasajes me recuerdan a la 8va Sonata para Piano de Prokófieff. Genial!!!

The End : one of the few atonal modernist pieces i actually enjoy
